Why Vegan?
dairy farm calf

Milk Hurts Babies

Mother cows on dairy farms are kept pregnant almost their entire lives so that they'll keep producing milk. Their newborn calves are torn away from them within hours or days and then either slaughtered immediately, raised on formula so that they can one day replace their exhausted mothers, or confined to a small pen and then slaughtered for veal.

All Meat Is Red Meat

Animals killed for food endure horrifying deaths. Chickens' fragile legs are slammed into metal shackles, or they are hung upside downand then workers slit their throats. Because of improper stunning, pigs are often alive when they are dumped into scalding-hot tanks, and cows are hoisted upside down by their hind legs and dismembered while they're still fully conscious.

Just like the cats and dogs we share our homes with, pigs, cows, chickens, and other animals can feel pain, fear, joy, and love. Why cause them pain, with so many delicious, cruelty-free foods available?
