Every 6 seconds, an acre of the rainforest is cut down for cattle farming.

That is 14,400 acres a day.

We have already lost 75 % of our topsoil in the U.S., mostly because of the raising of animals for food.

It takes 500 years to create 1 inch of new topsoil!

Air

If every American skipped one meal of chicken per week and ate vegan foods instead,

it would be like taking more than 500,000 cars off the road.

In the U.S., more than 38 million cows are raised for food each year.

Their burps and farts comprise 20 percent of all U.S. methane-gas emissions.

One of the top sources of
water pollution is the raising of animals for food.

Animals raised for food produce more than 10 times the poop and pee as humans do, much of which winds up in our water.
